Step outside into the wilderness and enjoy the many stimulating walks within the Grampians National Park, from a gentle stroll through to the more strenuous climb, there are walks for all ages and capabilities. Along the way, experience an abundance of native flora and fauna that this region is renowned for, with kangaroos, koalas, emus and deer frequenting many parts of the Grampians including much of the town area.
If walking is not your style, then perhaps a bike ride along some of the designated trails and tracks will be an experience to remember, or maybe even join a guided downhill mountain bike tour. For those of you looking to exercise your adventurous spirit a little more, then abseiling or rock climbing maybe just what you’ve been looking for.
For four-wheel-drive owners, get dirty during the spring-summer-autumn months where there are many four wheel drive tracks open to the public. These will take you to the extremes of the park, showing you all that the Grampians has to offer, including many areas not generally seen by a majority of visitors. |

Take the time to learn about the history and culture of the Grampians region. Brambuk Cultural Centre is a great place to learn about the local Aboriginal culture, backed up by many cultural art sites scattered throughout the National Park.
Maybe it’s a different type of culture you’re yearning for, the local region also boasts a growing number of great wineries for you to visit, sample and indulge. From Halls Gap to Dunkeld, Pomonal, Great Western and beyond, there is plenty of wonderful wines for you to discover, as well as local artists to visit. So take your time and take a small piece of the wonder which is the Grampians home with you.
